MARCUS FJELLSTRÖM - Born in Sweden in 1979, Marcus Fjellström is a composer and multimedia artist. His work ranges from the purely orchestral through electronic music and audiovisual work. He has worked with the Swedish Royal Ballet and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra as well as numerous ensembles and soloists, independent record labels, artists and filmmakers including "Salad Fingers" creator David Firth.

FNS (Fredrik Ness Sevendal) - This project is me all alone. I also play in bands like Slowburn, DEL, Kobi, Lucia, Marmont, Children & Corpse playing in the streets, GOM, Softrebels, and various other constellations. I have also collaborated with Makoto Kawabata (Acid mothers..), Mitsuru Tabata (Zeni Geva, Marble sheep), Mark Francombe (Ex Cranes guitarist), Bill Wood (1/3 octave band). It's both lo-fi pop, weird folk, noiserock and free-noise. Common for all the projects is the homespun lo-fi production, tape hiss, lots of different instruments and sounds sources, and a big part of the music is always improvised. Much of this has been released on various formats.

SVARTE GREINER - Svarte Greiner is the one man project of Erik K. Skodvin (half of the duo Deaf Center & label manager of the miasmah label). While the duo creates dusty grey soundscapes in a surrealistic world of sounds not far from that of David Lynch/Angelo Badalamenti, Svarte Greiner is further exploration into a more dark, mysterious & disturbed universe. Drawing inspirations from artists such as Earth, Volcano the bear, David Darling & Deathprod, the output is draped in lynchian mysticism & horror film cinematics.

Since his release of the debut album "knive" in 2006, he has released a series of 12"´s, cassettes and limited edition releases around. The new full-lenght called "Kappe" was released last february, with more new material soon to arrive. Erik also had the pleasure of touring with Fever Ray as opening act in 2009 besides playing shows all around Europe.

SIMON SCOTT - Simon Scott is the ex slowdive drummer ("just for a day" lp, "souvlaki" lp and the "5ep") who runs the KESH recording label from Cambridge and is also in Seavault (with A.Ryan from Isan) on Morr Music. He has collaborated with Brian Eno, The Sight Below, Machinefabriek, Jasper TX, Nils Frahm, Emmanuele Errante, Svarte Greiner and Rafael Anton Irisarri. He plays guitar for The Sight Below and has also drummed for Epic 45 and Klimek, remixed ON and Isan and also provided production to 'Hintergarten' by Hannu (Out Now on kesh).

RAFAEL ANTON IRISARRI - Rafael Anton Irisarri's music is a dual perspective close-up focus on the micro textures of rustling static-filled sonic surfaces with the wide-open distant tree lined horizons of sunset at dusk. Submerged piano melodies, reverberating guitar tonalities and electronic punctuation all contribute as the converging elements, but it's his hand at electro-acoustic composition that offers the listener the often breathtaking vantage into this sonic world. The combined effect is one of time passing in introspection, remembrances of landscapes and the nature of our relationship with things past as we move toward those yet to come. Plaintively yearning, his music never resigns itself to the stoicism of the melancholic, but is asking, moving, and drawing us into a state of hearing, seeing and recognizing the scale, scope and richness of the natural world and ourselves in the everyday.

This music draws as much on modern genre progenitors like Brian Eno, Robin Guthrie and My Bloody Valentine as it does from the more historic traditions in neo-classicism from Erik Satie and Olivier Messiaen. It's this intersection of sounds, both traditional and modernly avant, that make for the balancing act that can be described as something beyond just 'ambient' or 'cinematic' in his music; it brings the listener to a state somewhere between emotionally entranced and psychologically adrift.

KRENG - Kreng started as a strictly sample-based project, working with sounds from various sources: free-jazz, first generation electronics, improv, classical modernism, vintage ethnomusical fieldrecordings, etc... The project mutated into a cinematic, theatrical device that has been used by various film and theater directors. Kreng scored more that 20 theatre- & danceproductions, most of them produced by the Belgian theatre-company Abattoir Fermé.

JACASZEK - Author and producer of electroacoustic music, combinig electronically prepared sounds with acoustic instruments.. Author of soundtracks and theatre music. On„Treny”, Jacaszek uses the sounds of a harp, piano and the string orchestra, which allows him to discover new regions of the classical music. Grieving, slowly repeating themselves electronic phrases, violin harmonies and beautiful, delicately processed electronic vocals – this is the music on “Treny”. There is a lot of silence and concentration, longing and anguish.

On his latest album "Pentral", Jacaszek draws the picture of Gothic church interior. Organ phrases, vocal samples, bells, accitental noises were recorded and then used to make harmonies and melodies portraying the church as a place filled with distant mysteries, a huge music instrument. "My music is an ambitious plan: I want to create my own, personal and recognizable musical language, in which electronic manipulation of recorded sound is going to enrich traditional acoustic instruments. The motivation of these experiments is discovering the hidden and universal beauty”. "

GREG HAINES - Greg Haines is an English musician and composer currently living in Berlin, who specialises in exploring the middle-ground between the academic world of contemporary classical music and the freedom found in the desire to manipulate and experiment with sound itself.

He was born in a small Southern-English town in the 1980’s, where through boredom with his surroundings he began to take an interest in music and started to develop a particular interest in the idea of technology not simply being used to record instruments, but instead being used as the instrument itself. Around this time, an enthusiastic music teacher began to introduce Haines to the works of 'Minimalist' composers such as Steve Reich, Gavin Bryars, Philip Glass and more – composers that he still considers major influences over his work. At this turning point, Greg began to develop his piano (and eventually cello) playing, feeling the desire to pursue his interest in textural and deceptively-complex contemporary classical music. Having neither the ability or the resources to write music for large ensembles, he began layering and processing his own sounds in the studio to create the desired result. Shortly after, Haines discovered the work of Arvo Pärt, and in it found his biggest inspiration to date. Pärt’s intricate use of both space and density informed Greg’s first solo release, 'Slumber Tides', released on the Norwegian Miasmah label in 2006. The album was critically acclaimed worldwide, leading one writer to state: “This is music to fall into and let it embrace your heart and soul. Be warmed and sadden by its slow unfolding beauty and grace. Clearly one of the most luxurious and emotional rich debut albums you’re likely to come across this year, or any other year for that matter.“ (Musique Machine). Later, the opening track from the album, 'Snow Airport', would be used on the Universal/Point Music compilation 'Reflections on Classical Music', alongside compositions from some of the very composers who inspired it, such as Gavin Bryars, Philip Glass and Akira Rabelais.

In the wake of his debut, Greg toured Europe extensively and began to develop as a live performer, and in particular as an improviser. With his most frequent collaborator, Danny Saul, the duo 'Liondialer' was formed around the concept of purely improvised music, with no discussion in advance of performances and no pre-ordained strategies. Other notable collaborations include work with Machinefabriek, Wouter Van Veldhoven and Dustin O'Halloran, and live performances with Ben Frost, Peter Broderick, Sam Amidon and many more. Since 2008, Greg has also been working regularly in the contemporary dance world, creating music for choreographers such as Meg Stuart (Berlin), Ina Christel Johannessen (Oslo) and the MD Collective (Cologne).

In recent times, Haines has spent less time touring and more time as an invitee to residencies at festivals and schools such as ImPulzTanz (Vienna), Théâtre de la Bastille (Paris) and as a composer in residence at Theale School of Performing Arts (UK) for 2009/2010. In March 2010, he will released his second album on Berlin's Sonic Pieces. Entitled 'Until the Point of Hushed Support', it is a forty-eight minute composition written for string quintet, church organ, piano, percussion, electronics and a whole array of other sounds and textures that have been carefully collected and constructed over the past two years.
